Shrimp and Grits

 Here's a recipe plan for Shrimp and Grits: Ingredients: 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined 1 cup stone-ground grits 4 cups water or seafood broth 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 4 slices bacon, chopped 1 small onion, finely chopped 1 bell pepper, finely chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 tablespoons butter Salt and black pepper to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Instructions: In a medium-sized saucepan, bring the water or seafood broth to a boil. Add salt to the boiling liquid. Gradually whisk in the grits, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming. Reduce the heat to low and cover the saucepan. Cook the grits over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 20-25 minutes or until they become thick and creamy. If the grits become too thick, you can add a little more water or broth to adjust the consistency. While the grits are cooking, heat a large skillet over medium heat.
